About Me
Hello! My name's Mina. It looks like I can edit the layout of these profiles, which I think I may tinker with later, but for now, my basic profile is up and stylin' the default.
I'm a student at San Jose State University. I stay here in San Jose, California, but I go home to my hometown Fairfield whenever I can to visit friends and family.
I love art and writing. I also enjoy knitting, and of course, web design. I've been working with things digitally ever since I was 12 when I made my first website (which incidentally never went online), and I've been doing everything the wrong way ever since. ;]
I enjoy many things of the more gothy persuasion. I don't quite look the part (no make-up? short hair?), but that's not what really matters.
Regarding my web skills, most of my knowledge is focused in Photoshop and HTML (which is outdated, honestly, and I'm catching up albeit slowly). I use Dreamweaver as a crutch tool for getting my sites taken care of all the more quickly.
I know *some* PHP to get by (and to keep my website looking oh-so-modern), and I can weasel around in Perl fairly easily. That doesn't mean I can write much code in either. My knowledge of Apache is about the same, as my website runs on an Apache server. My lovely hosts have cpanel installed, though. So... I'm doing things the lazy way. :p
All of what I know tends to be learned through crash-course methods (reading tutorials when something isn't working) and/or trouble shooting for hours. It's not a method to follow, that's for sure. :p It also means that while I may seem like I know a lot in one subject, it's probably going to be unbalanced. I apologize in advance.
Regarding my interests: I'm just getting the blanket terms covered. I like way too many things... hehe.
